There is a lot to do in Lipica and around it.

Here are some ideas: a trip to the Slovenian coastline, explore the Postonjska cave, or have a coffee in the famous city of Trieste. Turn a disc golf tournament into a vacation. ​

The Vilenica Cave

Vilenica is the name of the karst cave near the Lokev village and is the oldest tourist cave in Europe, it is only 4 kilometers away from Lipica stud farm.

Lipica stud farm

The Lipica Stud Farm offers a variety of activities, such as a tour of the stud farm, a show by the Lipica Riding School, carriage rides, Dressage lessons or even playing normal golf.

Slovenian seaside

For those who love the sea, we recommend visiting the Slovenian coast (30 min away from tournament). Beautiful coastal towns such as Koper, Piran, Portorož, and Izola are great tourist destinations with a vibrant multi-ethnic Slovenian and Italian heritage.

P.S.: You can ask the organisational team where their favorite ice cream shop is, and they will gladly tell you all about it :).

Trieste

Stroll through town and partake in some superb architecture from Roman times. Stop for a coffee, it is a "must do" as Trieste is home to Illy Coffee. Illy is a family-owned and operated company, founded in 1933.

Trieste is a "happening" kind of town with a lively bar and restaurant scene. Even if you'd simply like to enjoy a gelato you'll feel right at home as the gelato here is really good!
